The American Institute of Building Design is the nationally recognized association of professional building designers, representing designers throughout the United States and Canada. It's purpose is to promote and maintain high professional and moral standards within the building design profession. A professional building designer, as designated by American Institute of Building Design, is a person who has at least six years of experience in the preparation of construction documents for residential and/or light commercial designs, and is familiar with all aspects of the building trade. To be considered for membership as a professional building design, all prospective members must submit three sets of plans of different projects for review by the membership committee, along with letters of recommendation from architects, builders, building officials, engineers and professional building designers. In addition, the application with documentation of education and experience, is carefully reviewed before acceptance is granted. For those professional building designers who have met the above mentioned requirements, the National Council of Building Designers Certification (NCBDC) has created a most prestigious certification program. This certification requires an extensive written examination covering various aspects of the trade, including knowledge of construction techniques, mechanical, electrical and structural systems, as well as administrative procedures. Recognition of the individual by the Institute as a Certified Professional Designers attests that he or she has been determined to be fully qualified to perform all requisite technical aspects of the profession and is competent to execute their services. Certification is recognized by the Farmers Home Administration as well as other government bodies and professional associations. For more information regarding A. I. B. In the event any liability is imposed on D K Designs, Inc., D K Designs, Inc.'s liability to you or any third party shall not exceed the price paid for D K Designs, Inc.'s product.
